I agree with a lot of points that JW makes in his latest column but I think some of the points in his article were made just to pad his argument. I do think that MU has a chance to make some great strides by playing in the Cotton Bowl but I don’t agree that the Orange Bowl is going to be “ignored”.

MU fans have been saying that they’re so much better because they sold out their bowl game already. What they don’t seem to pay attention to is that it’s an 8 hour drive from KC to the Cotton Bowl. It’s a 22+ hour drive to Miami so of course, the tickets aren’t going to sell quite as quickly.

I guess it’s really not worth arguing about though. Whitlock has been on the MU coattails for a few weeks now. To read the article for yourself…click here.

So I have been reading every article on every website about what a disaster this year’s BCS is going to be and the one consistency is that no one can understand why KU has been included in the festivities and MU isn’t. I’m not going to lie…I’m loving every minute of it.

Merrill Hoge can say all day that the game should be on Comedy Central because KU is such a joke. It doesn’t make it any less real. For the first time in 39 years…KU is going to the Orange Bowl and their first-ever BCS bowl. It’s a wonderful thing. Keep checking back here for more KU Football and Basketball content…
